9 Trend of absences due to illness or injury
In 2020, the proportion of absences due to illness or workplace injury increased from 4.7% to 4.9%. The proportion of rehabilitation leave remained at 0.1%. The percentage of workplace injuries decreased from 0.2% to 0.1%. There was some increase in the number of 4–14-day sick leaves, but fewer sick leaves that were shorter or longer than this were taken. The increased remote work and new absence procedures caused by the pandemic were probably the reason behind the reduced figures.
