The Helsinki Traffic Safety Programme aims to improve traffic safety in Helsinki with various traffic safety projects scheduled for the upcoming years in an organized fashion. The longterm vision for 2050 is that the transport system in Helsinki is safe enough for all groups of people that no one needs to die or be seriously injured in traffic accidents. The vision also states that moving around in the city should be found safe and responsible. The programme aims to halve the number of traffic deaths and injuries by 2030 compared to 2020 figures.
